Personal Training for Older Adult Fall Prevention

Unintentional falls among older adults are the number one cause of accidental injury, hospitalizations, and fatalities. 75% of falls occur in the home and result in injuries, i.e., head injuries, broken bones, etc. Many end up in nursing homes, often losing the inability to return home. Some main health challenges that contribute to seniors falling include age, pain, medication, dizziness, muscle weakness, incontinence, numbness, vision, brain disorders, and fear of falling. Regular exercise is the most important things for older people to do to reduce the risk of falls and minimize injuries from a fall. Personal Trainers can provide interventions to improve muscle strength and balance, removing home hazards that contribute to falls, and increasing confidence. Personal trainer’s supplemental exercises you can do on your own three to 5 times per week that will help increase strength, balance, and stamina and improve your response to fall risks. Our trainers will tailor fall prevention training programs to enhance health and strengthen confidence in one’s mobility.
